Instead of the usual (and quite expensive solution) with modifying '40's Ford brakes, I worked on a modified version of the original brakes as my graduating project as a mechanical engineer, replacing the activating mechanism with a hydraulic wheel cylinder and other, small modifications.
The project was handed in on the 28th of january 2011, and I was up for the defence of the project, which resulted in a 10 (a B in ects-grades).
My intensions was to start a small fabrication of those conversions, but the restrictions in such a rebuilding of brakes in Denmark demands a lot of testing, which I cannot afford at the moment. Therefore I'm not currently working on them, but hope to begin the project again in the future.
